Death of a Nephew

How do we know a nephew, a niece?
How do we know a brother, sister,
companions in young years?

Nephews and nieces are parts of brothers and sisters.
My sister's daughter sings like my sister.
My brother's son runs like my brother.

A nephew's death is a part-of-brother death.
So incomplete - ambiguous - unbounded.
Who is gone? Who is left?
